I reached out to the cat loving community in the 'Just cat things' FB Group and a variety of people sent me pictures of their lovely black cats. You will see pictures of males, females, kittens and senior cats. Our cat Louis just turned 6 on  October 31st, so this video is sort of a birthday homage to him.
